Cybersecurity Agency of Catalonia implements ECSO’s Market Radar in its Cybersecurity Sector Report

ECSO Member, the Cybersecurity Agency of Catalonia, and ACCIÓ have published their Cybersecurity Sector Report 2022. The report implemented ECSO’s Market Radar, the leading visualisation tool representing the Europe-based cybersecurity product vendor, service provider and consultancy offerings consisting of five main capability areas. The mapping of the Catalan business ecosystem was carried out based on this taxonomy.

Key Global Dimensions identified in the Cybersecurity Sector Report 2022:

• From 2021 to 2026, cybersecurity turnover will increase at a rate of 9,7% per year and reach 345.4 billion dollars.
• 2021 was a record year for venture capital in cybersecurity start-ups worldwide, with an investment of 18.82 billion dollars, more than twice the 2020 amount. North American startups led the ranking by a considerable margin.
• There are 45 cybersecurity start-ups in the world with a market value of more than 1 billion dollars.
