About ECSO's Annual CISO Meetup 2024
What were your highlights of the ECSO’s Annual CISO Meetup 2024?
The engagement with CISO from across Europe on a number of important topics. We particularly enjoyed discussions on security culture and how to start shaping it- lots of great and engaging discussion as part of the workshop.
What are your main takeaways of the event?
Security culture can help organizations to make cybersecurity a business priority- organizations must continue to strategically build and maintain a security culture. Priorities across European organizations are similar, where compliance, change management (security culture), and skills shortage a major topic.
What would you say to those considering attending the event next year?
Join the event to engage with senior cybersecurity stakeholders from organizations across Europe. Benefit from the exchange of knowledge and ideas, particularly taking into account that some initiatives are very driven by legal requirements that are important for all of Europe.
Strengthening the European cybersecurity landscape
What roles do partnerships play in KnowBe4’s mission?
Wearethenumber one provider of Human Risk Management +, helping organizations to effectively identify, monitor, and manage human risk in cybersecurity by building a sustainable security culture.
How does KnowBe4 plan to continue supporting the development of the industry in the future?
We will continue to develop the market through our thought leadership efforts. Our industry and product experts are uniquely qualified to support organizations in managing their human risk. We will engage with public and private stakeholders across Europe, from government agencies, over industry associations, to user groups.
Our commitment is towards enabling organization’s workforce to make smart security decisions every single day, thereby effectively reducing human risk in cybersecurity.
Looking ahead, what emerging technologies or trends in cybersecurity are you most excited about, and how is KnowBe4 preparing for the future?
Human risk management requires interventions at people (training), technology, and process level- effective management of risk on combining all three measures to treat a risk position.
Effective human risk management must be personalized, relevant, and adaptive. This means organisations must understand specific needs of people and departments in their organization to manage the right facets and elements of human risk effectively, thereby acknowledging that in an ever growing threat landscape reducing all risk to zero is not realistic.
AI will facilitate targeted, timely, and relevant interventions with its unique ability to consider user context, training history, and cultural facets of security training holistically and at scale. The work of security awareness and culture professionals will be empowered through the effective deployment of artificial intelligence agents that take on specific tasks.
