Streamlining Regulatory Obligations Webinar

The European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO) is hosting an online webinar on Streamlining Regulatory Obligations of EU Cybersecurity Policies, taking place on 10 December, at 14:00. In this session we will present the findings of a desk analysis, enhanced by a Europe-wide survey, conducted to determine the main challenges for compliance and provide a set of recommendations to address the challenges of current regulatory obligations. The results will serve as ECSO’s input for further discussions on the regulatory landscape.

Agenda

  • Setting the Stage: Insights from Security Professionals
  • Incident Reporting Complexities
  • NIS2 First-Hand Challenges
  • CRA First-Hand Challenges
  • Open Discussion

Context

Many EU companies are facing difficulties in understanding the complex, sometimes overlapping requirements of existing and upcoming EU cybersecurity regulations.

A common challenge is the need to report cybersecurity incidents to multiple authorities, such as those under NIS2, CRA, and GDPR. This issue is even more pronounced for SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises), which are disproportionately affected due to limited resources for tracking policy developments and preparing accordingly.

The meeting comes at the time when enhancing the competitiveness of European companies is a key priority for the upcoming European Commission, as highlighted in the recently published Draghi Report. Additionally, discussions on reducing compliance burden for companies affected by cybersecurity policies will be an important item of the Polish EU presidency, set to begin in January 2025.

Eligibility

This webinar is exclusive for ECSO Members. Discover how to become one on the ECSO Membership page.
