After two highly attended webinars belonging to the NIS2 Implementation Initiative, ECSO is delighted to announce the third appointment of the series on 16 November, 14:00 PM – 15:00 CET.
As we are dwelling deeper in the implications of the NIS2 Directive’s implementation, ECSO has decided to host distinguished guests in order to achieve a more profound understanding of the topic.
We had the honour to invite Alexandre Dulaunoy, Security Researcher and Head of Department a CIRCL (Computer Incident Response Centre Luxembourg) and Vladěna Sasková of the regulation department of NUKIB (Czech National Cyber and Information Security Agency).
The NIS2 implementation strategy and reporting requirements in Luxembourg and Czechia will be presented by our esteemed speakers. They will highlight reporting responsibilities and the interactions between the public sector and the commercial sector, highlighting the distinctive features of the Luxembourgish and Czech approaches.

GOALS OF THE INITIATIVE
The Initiative aims to facilitate for organisations affected by the NIS2—whether directly or indirectly—to share best practices. This encompasses cybersecurity providers who will offer services to address the regulatory requirements set forth in the legislation, Operators of Essential & Important Entities, and Supervisory Bodies of the Member States. The project will make use of the experience of the extensive ECSO Membership Base, which unites participants from all sectors and nations in Europe, including the supply and demand sides of cybersecurity.
BACKGROUND
All major industries covered by the Directive, including energy, transportation, banking, financial market infrastructure, health, drinking water, digital infrastructure, public administrations, and the space sector, as well as significant industries like waste management, postal services, waste management, chemicals, food, medical device manufacturing, electronics, machinery, vehicle engines, and digital suppliers, will be based on the NIS2 Directive for cybersecurity risk management measures and reporting requirements.
The EU Member States have until 18 October, 2024, to incorporate the NIS2 into their national laws after it came into effect on January 16, 2023. Because of this transposition process, minor variations may occur as the NIS2 is tailored to the specific context of each nation.
