The European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC) will present the new funding opportunities in cybersecurity under the Digital Europe Programme. This event serves as a platform to disseminate crucial information on the latest calls for proposals and provide networking opportunities for the European cybersecurity community.

Pitching opportunities, how to proceed?
Interested participants will also have the possibility to pitch their project ideas for funding opportunities, following the instructions below:
- Participants must conform with the Digital Europe Programme’s admissibility conditions described in section 5, and the eligible countries in section 6 of the call document.
- Participants are invited to indicate their interest by 16 October 2024 COB to infodays@list.cyber-ecco.eu and send their pitches to the same address by 18 October 2024 COB, keeping in mind that pitches received after the deadline might not be considered for the event.
- The slides should summarise an idea proposal related to one of the six calls mentioned above. Please choose only one of the six topics and indicate it the file name, followed by the name of the participant. In the case that you have ideas for several of the six topics, you must submit a pitch for each topic.
- It is recommended that the pitch slides describe the status of your consortium and what capabilities or types of partners you are looking for.
- The presentation should be at most 4 slides, and include the name of the presenter as well as the organisation they represent.
Information on the Open Calls
On 17 June, the European Commission and European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC) announced a series of new calls for proposals under the Digital Europe Programme. With a dedicated budget of over EUR 102 million, these funds will support deployment activities including Security Operations Centers (SOCs), advanced key technologies, preparedness and mutual assistance for large industrial operations and installations, and the implementation of EU cybersecurity legislation and national cybersecurity strategies.
The projects funded by this call will be managed by the ECCC. The calls are open to businesses, SMEs public administrations, and other entities from EU Member States and EEA countries.
The areas of actions are as follows:

- DIGITAL-ECCC-2024-DEPLOY-CYBER-07-SOCPLAT – Enlarging existing or Launching New Cross-Border SOC Platforms
- DIGITAL-ECCC-2024-DEPLOY-CYBER-07-SOCSYS – Strengthening the SOC Ecosystem
- DIGITAL-ECCC-2024-DEPLOY-CYBER-07-KEYTECH – Development and Deployment of Advanced Key Technologies
- DIGITAL-ECCC-2024-DEPLOY-CYBER-07-LARGEOPER – Preparedness Support and Mutual Assistance, Targeting Larger Industrial Operations and Installations
- DIGITAL-ECCC-2024-DEPLOY-CYBER-07-CYBERSEC-02 – Support for Implementation of EU Legislation on Cybersecurity and National Cybersecurity Strategies (2024)
Proposals can be submitted until 21 January 2025 at 17:00 Brussels time.
For the topics DIGITAL-ECCC-2024-DEPLOY-CYBER-07-SOC and DIGITAL-ECCC-2024-DEPLOY-CYBER-07-SOCPLAT applicants will have also to submit a proposal to the Call for Expression of Interest that will be soon published on the ECCC website (https://cybersecurity-centre.europa.eu/funding-opportunities_en) which will also be closing on 21 January 2025.
