With regards to the upcoming Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2025, ECSO and The Kościuszko Institute (IK) are to sign a Letter Of Intent at the opening of the CYBERSEC 2024 conference in Krakow, on 19-20 June. The cooperation between the two organisations will pave the way leading up to the Polish Presidency with the organisation of high-level discussions focused on key cybersecurity challenges, shaping the cybersecurity discussion in Europe.
The Kościuszko Institute is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit scientific and research institute specialised in cybersecurity projects and activities, founded in 2000.
The CYBERSEC conference organised by IK has been serving for many years as the main forum for cybersecurity discussions in Europe, bringing together experts, government representatives, businesses, and academia. The event is a platform where digital priorities for Poland, Europe and the Transatlantic bloc are discussed, as the conference explores different aspects of the technology discourse.
With Poland assuming the Presidency of the Council of the EU in less than a year from now (in January 2025), the Kościuszko Institute plans to strengthen Poland’s position as a leader in cybersecurity by actively fostering debate on the most pressing cybersecurity issues.
The Institute and ECSO share a common overarching goal: strengthening the European cybersecurity ecosystem and fostering strong cybersecurity communities. Expanding upon our common goals, ECSO and IK plan to sign the Letter Of Intent at the opening of the CYBERSEC 2024 conference.
