On the 23rd June 2022, the Governing Board of the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre held its first physical meeting in Bucharest (Romania), where the seat of the Centre is. Previous meetings of the Board were conducted online due to the pandemic.
Nicolae Ciucă, the Romanian Prime Minister welcomed the members of the Governing Board of the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre. During this two-day meeting, the Board discussed matters relating to the priorities of the Centre and to its practical establishment in Bucharest, on which the Romanian authorities and the European Commission have been closely working together for many months already.
The Competence Centre, together with the Network of National Coordination Centres, aims to strengthen European cybersecurity capacities, research excellence and industry competitiveness.
