The European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO) is pleased to inform its Members that today the European Commission has published a series of new calls for proposals within the Digital Europe Programme, with a dedicated budget of 84 million euros. The European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC) will manage the projects funded by these calls that are open to businesses, SMEs, public administrations, and other entities from the EU Member States, EFTA/EEA countries and countries associated to the Digital Europe Programme.
As the leader of the ECCO project, ECSO is committed to support capacity building in cybersecurity research, technology, and industrial policy at EU level and thus wants to bring to the attention of its Members today’s publication of a series of new calls for proposals of the Digital Europe Programme by the European Commission.
A dedicated budget of 84 million euros has been made available for the deployment of activities that support novel applications of AI and other enabling technologies for Security Operation Centres as well as the implementation of cybersecurity EU legislation such as the Cyber Resilience Act, and the European transition to post-quantum cryptography.
The projects funded by these calls will be managed by the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre and are open to businesses, SMEs, Public Administrations, and other entities from the EU Member States, EFTA/EEA countries, and countries associated to the Digital Europe Programme.
The areas of actions within the calls are as follows:
- Novel applications of AI and Other Enabling Technologies for Security Operation Centres.
- Strengthening cybersecurity capacities of European SMEs in line with Cyber Resilience Act requirements and obligations.
- Tools for compliance with Cyber Resilience Act requirements and obligations.
- Deployment of Post-Quantum Cryptography in systems in industrial sectors.
- Standardisation and awareness of the European transition to post-quantum cryptography.
- Roadmap for the transition of European public administrations to a post-quantum cryptography era.
Interested users can submit their proposal from 16 January 2024 until 26 March 2024 at 17:00 CET.
