The European Cyber Security Community Project (ECCO), led by ECSO, announces its new knowledge-sharing webinar focused on key cybersecurity challenges within the European Computing Continuum, including Confidential Computing, Cloud Security Certification, and threat monitoring, taking place on 12 November 2024, 16:00 – 17:00 CEST.
This online discussion is organised by the ECCO Community Group on Roadmapping.
Summary
Mario Draghi’s recent report on the future of European competitiveness highlights several cybersecurity challenges that Europe faces to protect its digital infrastructure: Supply chain compromises, privacy loss, new forms of cyber threats derived from the abuse of AI usage, dependence on external technologies, hybrid threats (cyber and physical), to highlight a few. These challenges require a coordinated effort from both industry and research stakeholders to enhance the resilience and security of the European Computing Continuum.
This webinar will offer a comprehensive analysis of key cybersecurity challenges within the European Computing Continuum. We will delve into crucial topics such as Confidential Computing, Cloud Security Certification, and threat monitoring.
As a foundation for this webinar, IDC defines edge computing as: “A distributed computing paradigm that includes the deployment of infrastructure and applications outside of centralized data centers and cloud infrastructure as close as necessary to where data is generated and consumed.”
