The European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO) has launched a new edition of the ECSO European Cybermarket News Report. This time the report combines the market activities of the months of June and July. Together, they form the mandatory post-summer read for everyone interested in the movements of the European cybersecurity market.
On this edition of the ECSO Cybermarket News Report:
Private funding rounds:
- June: 12 funding rounds, totalling 181.53M€. There were 4 pre-seed/seed, 1 series A, 1 series B, 1 series C, 1 Debt, 1 series D+, and 3 undisclosed rounds.
- July: 16 funding rounds, totalling 83.02M€. There were 9 pre-seed/seed, 3 series A, 2 series B, and 2 undisclosed rounds.
M&As (Mergers & Acquisitions):
- June: there were 6 M&As this month. There was 1 European company that was acquired by a non-European one.
- July: there were 15 M&As this month. There were 3 European companies acquired by non-European ones, and 3 non-European acquired by European companies.
New cybersecurity investment funds:
- June: 6 new cybersecurity-related funds in June, which totalled at 4.16B€. Of these, 4 were VCs, 1 Debt, and 1 Corporate.
- July: 4 new cybersecurity related funds in July, which totalled at 2.82B€. Of these, 1 was VCs, 1 PE, 1 Growth Equity and 1 was an undisclosed type of fund.
EU Calls & Tenders:
- A total of 3 calls and 2 tenders closing in September
