ECSO Launches New Initiative: the NIS2 Implementation Initiative

ECSO is delighted to announce the launch of its new initiative, ”NIS2 Implementation Initiative”, featuring a series of webinars focusing on the concrete implementation of the NIS2 Directive. ECSO’s initiative is designed to help critical infrastructures and the companies in their supply chain to better understand what is expected of them from the NIS2 directive. The series of webinars will see the participation of experts sharing insights and experiences on how the NIS2 will be implemented at the national level and which critical infrastructures should adopt technical measures.

Through this initiative, ECSO wants to facilitate the exchange of best practices among entities that are directly or indirectly impacted by the NIS2Directive, including essential and important entities, supervisory bodies of the Member States, and cybersecurity providers offering services to address the regulatory requirements outlined in the legislation. Leveraging on the ample expertise of ECSO’s membership base, the objective is to bring together both supply and demand actors from all European countries across various sectors for fruitful discussion and exchange of knowledge. In the format of monthly webinars, this initiative will invite subject matter experts to share their insights and expertise on the NIS2 Directive’s implementation.

Exclusively for ECSO Members, ECSO’s CISO Community, and external stakeholders upon invitation, the webinar series will kick off with a first event on 23 June, 14:00 – 15:00 CET featuring esteemed guests from the National Cybersecurity Agency (ACN) in Italy and the Centre for Cyber Security Belgium (CCB). These two agencies are entrusted with overseeing the implementation of the NIS2 Directive in their respective countries. Throughout the webinar, the invited guests will discuss the national transposition process in Italy and Belgium, national specificities in the implementation of the directive, and the procedures to be followed by the impacted entities.

We invite all ECSO Members, the CISO Community, and external members based on invitation to join us for the discussions on 23 June. If you are interested in becoming an ECSO Member and accessing ECSO’s exclusive events, please visit our membership page here.
