ECSO joins the European Cybersecurity Month campaign

As part of its overall mission of contributing to the strengthening of Europe’s cyber resilience, the European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO) has decided to partake in the commemoration of the European Cybersecurity Month. The European Cybersecurity Month (ECSM) is an annual campaign organised by the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) and the European Commission (EC) to spread awareness on topics of cybersecurity among EU citizens. For this occasion, ECSO will provide its own awareness dissemination plan on four main themes that will be dealt with during the month of October: Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Cybersecurity Workforce, Internet of Things and SMEs. Follow the campaign on ECSO’s social media pages!

This year, ENISA will once again join forces with the European Commission to celebrate the European Cybersecurity Month campaign to raise awareness among European citizens about cybersecurity issues, both from a practical and theoretical perspective. The topic of the 11th edition of the annual campaign is “Social Engineering”, with the hashtag #BeSmarterThanAHacker.

ECSO will participate in the commemoration of this month through an awareness campaign that will be divided in four thematic weeks. The choice of topics for this month reflects what represents the future of cybersecurity, the most pressing issues, and the challenges of our times.

The four weeks will focus on the following themes:

  1. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning
  1. Cybersecurity Workforce
  1. Internet of Things (IoT)
  1. SMEs

The topics mentioned above are crucial points in the world of cybersecurity. ECSO firmly believes that it is important to analyze them through an awareness campaign that can help identify strongholds to create new discussions for a cyber-resilient future.

During this month, ECSO will have the opportunity to advance its mission in creating innovation strategies that can assist its Members. It will be possible, through these weeks, to be introduced to the new digital initiatives developed by ECSO, such as CyberHive and the HR Community, or delve deeper into research topics available within the ECSO Library

The campaign will be featured on ECSO’s social media pages on LinkedIn and Twitter.

At the heart of ECSO’s awareness-raising activities remains pride for its partnership with the European Institutions that strive for the dissemination of information for a safer and more resilient cyber world.
