ECSO elects its new Chairperson
On 27 October 2021, ECSO’s Board of Directors set another important milestone in the life of the European Cyber Security Organisation by electing its new Chairperson. Secunet’s CEO Axel Deininger was elected with the majority of the votes as ECSO’s new Chairperson to continue the work carried out by former Chairperson Philippe Vannier.
“It is a pleasure to serve as ECSO Chairperson”, said Mr. Deininger. “I look forward collaborating with ECSO’s Board and Members to strengthen our position at European level and to fulfil ECSO’s strategy aiming at federating the European Cybersecurity Public and Private Community, supporting the Membership’s needs and continuing the cooperation with the European institutions and public bodies”, he concluded.
“After having chaired ECSO since 2016, I believe it is important at this crucial stage in the very intense international cybersecurity context that a new Chairperson takes the lead. I am delighted that the board chose Axel Deininger to carry out ECSO’s work”, said former ECSO Chairperson Philippe Vannier.
With the cybersecurity sector being a fast-paced environment, ECSO strives to anticipate trends and be up to date with new technologies and policies. The election of the Organisation’s new Chairperson represents therefore an important step in ECSO’s strategy to federate, connect and support the European cybersecurity ecosystem.
