Fabio Martinelli is the Director of the ICAR Institute of the Italian National Research Council (CNR). He coordinated the European Network of Excellence NESSoS and the EU Training Network on Cyber Security (NeCS). He also served as expert in the H2020 Protection and Security Advisory Committee (PASAG) for the European Commission (2015-2020). He is the co-chair of WG of ECSO dedicated to research and innovation.

Sebastiano has been heading the secretariat of the European DIGITAL SME Alliance since 2008. Currently Europe's largest network for digital Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs), it represents about 45.000 companies in 28 countries. He contributes to set EU and global policies on digital subjects, such as cybersecurity, AI, data protection, IPRs and standards. Co-founder of the #EuroStack movement.

Javier was hired by the Basque Government in 2017 to create the region's cyber capacity from scratch. Firstly, he led the creation of the Basque CyberSecurity Centre, oriented to business development activities. After six years, the Basque Gov. went one step beyond by creating the Basque Cybersecurity Agency (Cyberzaintza) where he is the Managing Director. Since June 2021, he has also been a member of the ECSO Board of Directors.

Trained as an aerospace engineer, he occupied several senior positions in the European Commission, and within Academia in Europe and North America.
