The Privacy Symposium will take place in Venice, between the 5 and 7 of April 2022. The Privacy Symposium aims at promoting international dialogue, cooperation, and knowledge sharing on data protection regulations, compliance, and emerging technologies. It provides a venue for data protection professionals, experts, authorities and researchers to meet and discuss the latest developments in data protection regulations. It will address topics such as emerging technologies and data protection compliance, research and innovation in data protection, data sovereignty, cross-border data transfers, and future needs and demands for compliance. Join us in a multi-stakeholder discussion that promotes international dialogue, cooperation and knowledge sharing on data protection, compliance, and innovative technologies.
The conference will offer more than 70 sessions with over 150 top level experts from Europe and beyond, including US, Canada, Brazil. Japan, Singapore, etc. It brings together the legal, cybersecurity and ICT research communities, as well as the European institutions, international organisations, national supervisory authorities, law firms, big technology companies, consulting firms, and data protection organisations.
The conference also includes a whole set of sessions to present research results and ongoing development from Europe, America and Asia. For instance, sessions will be organised with the National Science Foundation to present the latest developments in the US, while you will get the chance to see the European Cybersecurity Collaboration in action in a joint session by CyberSec4Europe and CONCORDIA (H2020 research projects). There will also be dedicated sessions on the Italian’s, and ECSO’s perspective on cybersecurity, data breaches in practice and the importance of cyber risk evaluation in the context of data protection.
Besides the formal sessions, a whole set of social and networking events is organised during the conference, including a gala dinner on the 5th April and an informal meetup organized on Monday the 4th April to give you the chance to re-connect in-person with cybersecurity experts, innovative researchers and privacy professionals.
